The Decision Analytics Outstanding Award Ceremony 2023 was successfully held on 8 July 2023 at the Fung Yiu King Hall, HSUHK. Over 100 participants including practitioners, academics and research fellows joined this remarkable event.

This event was organised by the School of Decision Sciences and the Big Data Intelligence Centre. It aims to recognise the outstanding companies which adopted decision analytics invention and applications (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Internet-of-things, Virtual Reality, etc.) for business impact.

It was our honours to have Ir Dr Hon Lo Wai-kwok, GBS, MH, JP, LegCo (Engineering), HKSAR as our guest of honour who shared his views and inspirations on the data driven economy. In addition, we also invited Dr Hon Johnny Ng Kit-chong, MH, JP, LegCo, President Simon Ho Shun-man and Dean Chan Wai-sum to present awards to the winning companies.

This year, there are a total of 11 companies (6 large enterprises and 5 small and medium businesses) won the Decision Analytics Outstanding Award. The judging panel members, comprising renowned experts and professionals in the field evaluated the capability of companies based on the four criteria as follows:

• Management Strategy of Data Driven Decision
• Shown Case of Data Driven Decision Impact
• Robust Methodology of Decision Analytics
• Alternative Data in Future Plan
