Odoo x HSUHK Pitch Cup

Co-organized by the Big Data Intelligence Centre (BDIC), the Cloud Innovation School, and Odoo, the Odoo x HSUHK Pitch Cup final pitch was successfully held on May 29, 2026, at the Odoo office.

The business case competition provided students with a unique platform to tackle real-world business challenges and explore the transformative power of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and digital systems. Following priority registration, a briefing session on April 1, 2026, and video submissions by April 17, 2026, finalists were announced on May 4, 2026.

During the final round on May 29, 2026, teams presented their solutions and delivered live software demonstrations in person. Evaluated on effective communication, workflow recaps, Q&A handling, and software setup and customization, the participants showcased exceptional technical skills. Beyond practical experience, finalists enjoyed networking with industry professionals, career sharing from Odoo’s Campus Recruitment Team, and free access to the Odoo database for up to 24 months, successfully building essential skills for the digital marketplace.

Participating in the Odoo x HSUHK Pitch Cup offers you a unique opportunity to work on real-world business challenges and explore the transformative power of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and digital systems. Beyond the practical experience, you will have the chance to network and connect with industry professionals, gaining insights into the field while earning a certificate to recognize your achievement. This is a premier platform to “Solve, Pitch, and Win” while building the essential skills necessary for success in the digital marketplace.
Key Activities & Timeline
Priority Registration for Students in School of Decision Sciences: Now until 11 March 2026 (Registration Closed)
Final Registration Deadline: 20 March 2026 (Registration Closed)
Team Size: 3 to 4 people per team
Briefing Section at HSUHK: 1 April 2026 (Ended)
Video Submission for the Competition: 17 April 2026 (Submission Ended)

Round 1: PPT & Video

Submit a maximum of 10 slides and 5 mins presentation

·         Professional  introduction  with clear & structured explanation  of the company’s business workflow (25%)

·         Demonstrates a solid grasp of pain points and solutions (25%)

·         Relevant and well-justified Odoo modules – images and screenshots (25%)

·         Confident and engaging delivery in the video (25%)

 

Round 2: Final Presentation (45 mins/ TEAM)

Present your solution and deliver a demonstration in person! 

Effective Communication and Presentation (50%)

·         Establishes a connection with the judges, friendly and professional tone.

·         Recap of business workflow and pain points.

·         Introduction into Odoo Solution.

·         Ability to handle questions.

Software Demonstration (50%)

·         Able to set up Odoo and customize it.

·         Logical demo structure with great flow/ transition.

·         Clear explanation of Odoo functions.
