Odoo HK Limited MoU Signing Ceremony cum Odoo x HSUHK Pitch Cup Award Presentation Ceremony

The Odoo HK Limited MoU Signing Ceremony cum Odoo x HSUHK Pitch Cup Award Presentation Ceremony was held successfully by the Big Data Intelligence Centre on 26 June 2026, marking an important milestone in strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing digital technology education for students. The MoU was signed by The School of Decision Sciences (SDSC) at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) and Odoo HK Limited (Odoo).

Prior to the MoU signing, the Odoo x HSUHK Pitch Cup Award Presentation Ceremony celebrated students’ innovative business solutions. Professor Wai-sum Chan, Dean of SDSC, and Bella Indah Sanusi, L&D and Education Program Manager (APAC) at Odoo, presented awards to the winning teams, who also shared their reflections and valuable experiences gained throughout the competition.

Building upon these successful student engagement activities, the newly signed MoU aims to further enrich teaching, learning, and research through closer engagement with Odoo—a globally recognized, all-in-one business management (ERP) software widely used across industries, with its global headquarters in Belgium and its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong.

The MoU establishes a formal framework to support joint initiatives across three core pillars:

  • Education Workshops: Odoo will deliver professional training workshops for students through the Odoo Education Program and provide students and faculty members with free, temporary access to Odoo databases to facilitate hands-on learning. SDSC will host these events on campus and manage coordination.
  • Student Competitions: Odoo will support student competitions by supplying realistic business case studies and temporary software access for participating teams, encouraging students to tackle real-world business challenges using industry-leading software.
  • Faculty Training: Odoo will offer hands-on training for faculty members through the Odoo Teachers Academy, granting access to comprehensive educational resources and pedagogical tools such as the “Scale-Up!” business game. In return, SDSC will incorporate and introduce Odoo software into relevant academic modules.

The ceremony took place on 26 June 2026 at HSUHK, bringing together faculty representatives and industry leaders to celebrate this strategic alliance that bridges classroom learning with real-world enterprise operations.
